Modern Day Slavery: My Journey from hell to heaven.

Lena Cebula was born and raised in a post-USSR Ukrainian iron mining town. Her parents struggled in their marriage. Became an alcoholic, lost well paying jobs, eventually divorced losing custody of their kids.

She has struggled in poverty trying to survive and was abused and raped numerous times. After the loss of her first child at 15, drug addicted, alcohol dependent, she was twice trafficked to foreign countries, Israel, and Canada. 

In Canada she escaped sex slavery and lived in a shelter, took English as a second language classes from level 0. Then applied and finished cosmetology government credit course for newcomers. In 2011 at an ALPHA course, she gave her life to Christ and received grace and forgiveness. Today, she is a wife and a mother of three beautiful children. She is a social justice advocate, blogger, speaker, and host of the Love&BLoved Podcast.  She is a member of the church and co-led the ALPHA course in her church for numerous years. 

In August 2019 her book “Miraculous” was published. It’s a raw and transparent account of her life chronicles. A portion of every book sale goes to Fight4Freedom to support survivors of sex exploitation. She partnered up with Fight4Freedom which exists to be an active voice and advocate of justice for women and men impacted by the sex industry and to further assist them in finding necessary supports that will aid them in their journey to safety, healing, and restoration. The problem is that trafficking can be very hard to spot, so in her presentation: "Modern Day Slavery – My Journey from Hell to Heaven.” Lena shares her story and defines human trafficking and gives examples of someone possibly being trafficked or being groomed for sex trafficking. 

As a speaker, Lena travels from Ontario, Canada. She has vast experience speaking at different events – from networking events to non-profits to churches to podcasts.
